These 100 sight word fluency books are a great way for students to practice sight word fluency, decoding unknown words using picture clues, and handwriting.
Each book introduces one of the first hundred Fry words. Students read and color the sight word and practice writing the sight word four times. Then, they read three similar sentences, containing the sight word introduced, plus other sight words, many of which were previously taught. The sentences also contain one unknown word, followed by a picture of that word. Students can use the picture clue to decode the unknown word. To further maximize learning, students write each sentence twice in their best handwriting.
These sight word fluency books are perfect for morning work, whole groups, small groups, independent work, interventions, and homework.
