This fun cooperative play game supports fluency with specific sight words, and supports cooperative learning through game play.
No more tears, fights, and hurt feelings because someone didn't "win" the game!
Cooperative Gameplay Games encourage teamwork and building relationships with peers through working toward a common goal. Players work together as teammates to accomplish a task.
Print and cut cards apart.
Students take turns choosing a card, reading the sight word on each card, and matching the card to the correct house before the Big Bad Wolf blows all of the cards out of the houses (before the “HUFF AND PUFF!” card is chosen).
Each house features characters from well known stories and fairy tales (Gingerbread Man, Little Red Hen, The Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and Hansel and Gretel).
Through play, sight word recognition is reinforced while cooperative gameplay encourages students to work together to reach a common goal.
24 sight words included:
all, am, are, at, ate, be, black, brown, but, came, did, do, eat, four, get, good, have, he, into, like, must, new, no, now
