The words included are: I, a, my ,the, go, to, like ,he, come, here, this, me, for, where, do, you, look, one, see, what, two, up, down, we, want, out, who, are, they, she, good, and, there, give, little, that, and have. These are from the Harcourt Story Town Kindergarten Sight words , but are common sight words and could be used with any program. There is also a blank sheet of cards that you can fill in with any other words you are learning.
Print the cards. Cut them out. You could laminate or print on card stock for durability. Lay the cards flat on a table hiding one of the spiders behind one of the cards. Do not let students see you hide it. Students will take turns reading the letter on the card or saying the sound one by one. After they read a card correctly they can lift the card and see if they found the spider. Whoever finds the spider first is the winner! Could be played whole group also using a pocket chart. Students will love practicing sight words with this game!
