I have always enjoyed using this game for math during my Basic Skills sessions. My students also enjoyed playing these games. I decided to make a version to help my first graders become “Sight Word
Wizards!” This will be a fun way to help my students learn and practice their sight words. In this game I have my students give the clues by spelling the words. My goal was to encourage my students to recognize the individual letters in the words in addition to becoming familiar with the sight words.
There are a total of 32 cards: 27 game cards, 1 Cover card, Direction cards (3), and a Sight Word List card. (Four cards are printed on each page.) Print the cards on card stock, and you are ready to play! I hope you find this game useful in your primary classroom!
Core Content Standards: R.F.K.3.C, R.F.1.2
