Here are two free activities to help your students master the words on their personal word walls.

Repeated practice and spiral review are the best ways to help your students build the habit of routinely referring to their word wall. Practice in this fun format will also make these words part of your students' reading and writing vocabulary!

If you'd like a larger collection of games to make word wall review and practice part of your literacy center rotations, click to see the eleven activities included in Sight Word Games and Activities for Classroom and Personal Word Walls.

Use these games in your literacy centers! Your kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students will get lots of practice reading and writing the words you choose - the words on your very own word wall!

Both of these games are suitable for use on digital devices, too! They're easy to digitalize with your favorite apps and programs.

These games make a fun and easy addition to printable packs that you may be sending home. Just include your word list, and they'll be used again and again for lots of practice!

The two games Included in this set are Secret Square and Penny Toss. Although aimed primarily at K-2, you'll find that it's easy to extend these games to third through fifth grade, using specialized word walls and word lists for science, math, and vocabulary.

Knowing which words are on the word wall and being able to locate them quickly are key to turning your word wall into a useful tool for all of your students. These games will help transform your word wall into an actively used support for your students' writing!
