Description

Sight word practice made for today’s students! Movement, intrigue, suspense, and technology based. This exciting game of Hide and Seek has students engaged, motivated and on the edge of their seats. It can be played in a multitude of ways, making it competitive or just for fun. Simply pick and choose which works best for you and your students each year or change it up each time you play!

Created in PowerPoint, this interactive game can be played on any computer. Group students into teams of two to compete head to head or play it during a literacy center for a non-competitive (but still exciting) round of sight word practice.

The sets of words in this game of Hide and Seek follow the words taught in Unit 1 of the first grade Reading Wonders curriculum, but are good for any students who are learning to recognize, read and spell sight words.

Included in this resource are directions on how to play in a number of ways and how to change the speed of the game so that you can adjust it based on your student’s needs from year to year.
