PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sight word books practice the most common high frequency words in printed English. These words are essential to fluent reading but are not always decodable. Therefore, repeated exposure is essential. The words are introduced in an easy to read and fun format. This set includes 9 books. Sight Words/High Frequency Words in Set 1:

Each book practices 2-3 sight words. The first page introduces the sight words, the next page requires the children to trace the letters in the sight words in the sentence, and the remaining pages require the children to write in the missing sight words. Repetitive, predictable, easy to make, easy to get into each child’s hands, ready to go for reading practice. Great for book boxes, center work, literacy group work, guided reading, or shared reading time. Each book has a front cover, a title page, 8-12 pages, and ends with a page to share with reading buddies or parents. Developmentally appropriate books ensure success with beginning readers.
Includes and practices common core; following words from left to right, top to bottom, and page to page, includes book parts, printing upper and lowercase letters, and demonstrates beginning capitalization and ending punctuation. Put a book in each child's hand for a fraction of the cost. You print and students complete, color, share, and keep to read over and over. Just arrange as directed and have your copy machine do the stapling. No more putting pages together one at a time. Just add another staple, cut, and you are ready to go. You can add colored duct tape to stapled edges for durability if desired.
