Sight Words. Those tricky little pieces of print that our students either master, inconsistently read, forget altogether, or simply just get frustrated with throughout the school year.
This Sight Word Intervention Binder was created to use as a tool to get students to master their sight words!
Let's face it, we've all seen our students read a sight word one day and have deer-in-headlights the next day with the SAME word. Sight words are hard. They are tricky. They are short, they are long, they can't be sounded out.... and it's leaving us shaking our heads!
This binder includes the first 100 Fry words (2 pages per word!) that will have all aspects of sight words being covered!
In this notebook, students will:
- read the sight word
- build the sight word
- isolate within a set of words
- trace the word
- identify in context
- write the word
- fill in the missing letters of the word
- fill the word (with objects or play-doh)
This binder was intended to use with small groups or individually when focusing on a specific sight word or small set of sight words.
Also included in this pack are multiple binder covers and spine labels in color and b/w, as well as student data trackers and graph tracking sheets.
(see all in preview)
You will only need a few materials to set this binder up and use in its entirety.
Materials you will need:
- sheet protectors
- dry erase marker
- pointer (optional)
- counters / cubes
- magnetic letters or letter cards (letter cards are included)
The pack is laid out in alphabetical order of the first 100 fry words, however you can set up your binder with how it works best for you!
(abc order, order in which they are taught, etc...)
You are sure to see success with this binder of sight words!
