1. The printable Leapin' Lily Pad game board and frog markers. Laminate for durability to use from year to year if you'd like.
2. Some type of container, cup or bag to place the sight word cards in.
How to Play:
1. Place all of the sight word cards in a container, paper bag or cup.
2. Decide who will go first.
3. The first player should draw a card from the container.
•If the player can say the sight word, he/she may place a frog on the corresponding lily pad. Begin a pile to discard words that are recognized. It is now the other player’s turn.
•If the player does not recognize the sight word, he/she should place it back in the container. If possible, the player should be told what the word is before placing it back in the container. Play passes to the other player.
•If the player draws a duplicate card (e.g. they’ve already covered the lily pad that contains this word), it automatically goes back in the container and play passes to the other player.
4.The first player to get all 15 of his/her frogs placed on a lily pad is the winner!
