This is a 6-WEEK (30 sight word/decodable sentences) sight word center activity. The following sight words are covered in this set:
AND color words!
Each sentence contains a noun and corresponding picture beginning with a different letter in the alphabet. For example, "I see an alligator." "I see a bee." "I see a cow."......"I like fish."......"My zebra is black and white."
Have students read the sentence, highlight the sight words, stamp the sentence, and then cut out the sentence card (glue on an index card for stability). Punch a hole and use a metal ring or ribbon to hold the cards together. Continue to add cards as the pages are completed. The remaining portion can be pasted in a literacy journal. This would be a great activity for sentence reading review and sight word introduction/practice at school (or extended at home).
I have also included a color word poster to assist students in their independent reading and highlighting using color words.
Thank you, and enjoy!
