Sight Word Mystery Activity Pages - Part 2.
This activity pack is a set of sight word printables specifically designed for ESL students in grades 1-2. They can be used for students in kindergarten and first grade - they can be used mid year in K and the beginning of the year for first grade as students need to be somewhat familiar with letters and words. Mainstream learners can also benefit from them. My students love these!
What are Sight Word Mysteries?
Students have a group chart of the sight words that they can refer to. They color the image and find the letters hidden in the picture, then they write down the letters they find (in no particular order). They make a word from the letters they have in the next box. The answer key can be found when they flip the page to check the mystery word and see if they've written it correctly. They can attempt drawing the image that they colored.
They come in two versions:
*Set 1 comes in a larger font (students won't need a magnifying glass to find the letters).
*Set 2 comes in a smaller font (students will need a magnifying glass to find the letters)
I printed two pages on one page and cut them apart. :)
You could choose to differentiate and print whatever set you need for your students - there are links as a guide to navigate the file.
Word list included: of, am, an, so, up, that, what, make, look, little, where, this, were, they, play, come, was, how, yes, has, all, me, we, by, had
I hope your students enjoy using these!
