This is a set of printables designed to help students practice the high frequency words from the pre-primer sight word list.
Each sight word practice page includes the following:
-color the word
-trace the word
-write the word
-find the word
-use the word in sentences
-build the word
In addition to the individual word practice pages, each group of five words has two review pages.
The review pages include:
-sight word graphing
-secret code sight words
-sight word frames
The file also includes two different notebooks covers and a table of contents for keeping track of which sight word pages have been completed. These pages are meant to be used if you would like to bind the pages to make a notebook.
These pages can be used in several ways:
- Literacy center
- Word work
- Guided reading extension
- Small-group intervention
In my classroom: I print these two to a page and my students glue them into their sight word notebook when they finish. They keep the notebooks in their desks to use during writing and to review their words.
