This set includes play-dough and work mats for the 15 most common sight words in the English language. These are the words: the, and, I, a,to, in, you, of, it, is, he, she, that, was, and for.
There are two pages of work for each word. The first page is for use with play-dough and dry-erase markers. The students fill in the outline of the sight words with the play-dough. Then, there is a box for them to create the words out of play-dough without using an outline. Then, there are lines for them to write the word below their play-dough creations.
The second page of word work has a sentence for the students to read that includes the sight word. Then, the sentence is repeated again with the letters of the sight words traced so that the students can write the word. Next, the page has lines so that the student can practice writing the whole sentence.
This set also includes a recipe for play-dough (no bake, so the students can add ingredients and make it themselves quickly!) and the last page has a list of all 15 words and provides another opportunity for the students to read and write the words.
