Your students will LOVE making these sight word locket necklaces or pocket watches. Both are made the same, just one is worn as a necklace and the other goes in your pocket like a pocket-watch!

Students trace and cut out the rectangles for each letter in the sight word. Then, they glue them to the locket or pocket watch and add a piece of yarn to complete the project. You will need to slightly overlap letter rectangles for sight words with 4 letters.

My students beg to make these! They include the Houghton Mifflin sight words: I, see, my, like, a, to, and, is, go, for, here, the, have, she, said, are, play, he. Plus there are 2 blank Pocket-Lockets if you would like to add your own words.

Copy these on colored construction paper for added fun.
