This is the list of sight words or high-frequency words that are used for first grade in my school.
I use these cards, in my library, as activities for Kindergarten and first grade students that have checked-out and have already read their books. They can also be used as centers in grade level classrooms.
Print these pages on card stock, cut them in half, and laminate them. They can then be used like dry erase boards. Students can practice writing their letters in the boxes under the words. Students that are not ready to write the words independently can trace the words. Wet erase markers can also be used, but they are messier.
I print the sight word/high-frequency word groups on different colors of card stock so that I can easily determine which cards are for which quarter.
