Gumball Machine board game with playing cards:
Students will put sight word cards in a stack face down. Players take turn picking a card off the top and saying the sight word. If they can read the sight word correctly they move 1 space and it’s the other player’s turn. If they cannot read the word correctly, the must stay on that space and it’s the other player’s turn.
Write Around the Room with a recording sheet:
Hide the cards around the room (stapled or taped to the wall or on doors for example). Print the recording sheet and have them on clipboards for students to carry around the room and write down all the sight words they can find.
I Spy! Game cards with a recording sheet:
These gumball machine cards have tiny sight words on them. Students will use magnifying glasses to search for the sight words and write down what they find on their recording sheet.
