This pack includes one page for each of the sight words on Fry's First 100, list A and two cover options (if you choose to make student books).

The 20 words included are:

the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, are, as, with, his, they, I

Each page has the word in "bubble" letters for the student to color, a 5 x 5 word search grid where they need to find the word 5x, a sentence strip for students to write the word 3 times and two lines for students to use the word in a sentence.

The sentence is one of the most important aspects as it denotes understanding of the target word.

There are several ways you can use the pages in this pack. I like to print 2 copies per page (double –sided, to save even more paper) and send 1-2 at a time for extra practice and homework for my firsties.

Other ideas:

•Use the cover to create sight word practice books

•Morning work

•Independent word work center

•Exit slips

•Formative assessments for handwriting and punctuation

Have fun and please share how you used them in your review!

Thanks and Happy Teaching,
