This activity has all 40 high frequency Pre-Primer sight words young readers will first learn when starting to read.
This sight word activity has taken those 40 words and added in the childhood game I Spy.
I Spy activities is a great way to practice sight words with out it feeling like “work” Students use magnifying glass to find the sight words hidden in the pictures. Once a sight word has been found they record that word onto one of the differentiated recording sheets.
A beginner learner can use the recording sheet where they trace over the grey sight words, while the more advanced learner can use the lined recording sheet and write the words found.
I Spy and recording sheets can be laminated to be reused time and time again. A dry erase marker can be used to circle words found in the pictures or used on recording sheets to help save on paper and ink.
