Sight Words! As teachers, we know the purpose of reading is to construct meaning from text. Sight word recognition improves reading fluency and automaticity, which then allows the student to focus their efforts on the more demanding task of reading comprehension. This need to build accuracy and speed is critical for at-risk students with reading and learning disabilities.
This resource offers students a chance to practice the first one hundred Fry Sight Words in four different activities. (One activity may be used to assess the progress of your students.)
Included: Over 50 printables
~ Roll and Write!
~ Race to the Top!
~ Color It!
~ Tap It! Read It!
