Trying to add some excitement to your sight word study time? Try these puzzles! Students read the words and practice their problem solving skills by placing the pieces in the correct location to create the picture shown. Then they record each of the four repeated sight words and color in a beach ball for each time they successfully read the words to their reading buddy.
Print in color, laminate (Cold laminating is best, but hot laminating does work!), and cut apart the pieces. Store each puzzle in its own envelope with the included marker so the kids have a visual to help them solve the puzzle.
***Please note: these words are arranged in an order for kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders as determined by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. Nearly all of the 220 Dolch words are used, but not necessarily in the order Dolch organized them.
