This packet contains a sight word scramble cut and paste for each week of the Kindergarten Reading Street series for units 1-5. I did not include pages for unit 6 because it is all sight word review.
Here’s what you do:
Each child gets a full page to glue on and a half sheet to cut apart. The sight words are all mixed up, so they have to read the word on the gluing page and put the letters down in the correct order. I tried to include a thematic picture that goes with the weekly story as a background for the letters, so the kiddos have something to color as well before they cut out. If I couldn’t find a thematic picture (Plaidypus Lost, for example), I put a seasonal picture that should coincide with when you teach the story.
I have also included a pocket chart version of the sight word scramble. Just copy, laminate, and let students jumble up the letters and arrange them to make the words.
