Sight Word Sentence Stucture and Writing Fry Word List

Sentence Editing and Writing Fry Sight Words: This packet includes over 60 sentences especially designed for emergent readers and students mastering beginning skills. It focuses on sight words 1-20 from the first 100 Fry words. Each page includes one sentence where students must read, circle the mistakes, re-write the sentence correctly, cut and paste the words in order, and finally illustrate the sentence. Skills focus on handwriting, sight words spelling, sentence conventions, ending punctuation, and right or wrong ending punctuation. These are great for morning work, ESL/ELL students, time fillers, literacy centers, or homework.

Meet the fix it heroes! Words include:

the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, are, as, with, his, they, I, at, be, this, have, from
Number words 0-10 and colors black, white, blue, pink, yellow, green

Sequence includes:
*First 10 pages focus on capitalizing the first letter in each sentence.
*Second 10 pages focus on adding a period and capitalizing the first letter in each sentence.
*Third 10 pages focus on capitalizing words in the middle of the sentence, beginning of the sentence and an ending period.
*fourth 10 pages focus on capitalizing the first letter beginning the sentence, identifying color and number words and spelling them correctly, adding a question mark if the sentence is a question.
*fifth 10 pages focus on all the skills together in a mixed review.
*Sixth 10 pages are created for quick quizzes or assessments to help identify if the students have benefited from the practice. These 10 sheets each have a sentence with errors, the student must find and circle the errors then re-write and illustrate the sentence without the hint of cutting and pasting the words below .
