How do you teach your students sight words?
I use these sight word pages to get students to create their own interesting sentences using their new sight words. Before using these, I found that students might memorize sight words, but they really didn't know how to use them in a sentence correctly. This has changed the way I teach my students sight words. They become confident in their writing, learn to use the sight words correctly, and they get an opportunity be creative and write about what they want.
I also send these home as homework after the students learn each word. This gives them a little more practice with their new sight word.
This resource includes:
-a sight word page with tracing and lines for sentences for Fry's First 50 words
-1 blank sight word page in case you want to teach a sight word not included
-50 sight word pages in all!
I hope this resource helps your students learn their sight words!
