These 148 sight word sentences
will help your students build fluency and become more confident readers,
in an engaging, hands-on way. Each sentence highlights one sight word.
The sight words include...
⭐The Pre-Primer and Primer Dolch Words
⭐The First Hundred Fry Words
⭐And, many other sight words introduced in different kindergarten sight word programs
In addition to practicing their sight words, students will strengthen their sentence building skills,
as they assemble the sentences in the pocket chart.
Each sentence begins with a capital letter and students will choose the proper punctuation mark to end the sentence.
Every sentence comes with six illustrated word cards.
Students read each sentence six times, each time substituting a different word card.
Take advantage of teachable moments, such as using a/an correctly and subject/verb agreement, as well as, teaching the various parts of speech and proper use of punctuation.
Lots of grammer skills can be taught by using these sentences weekly.
Once you move on to a new lesson, keep the word cards from previous lessons available for students to assemble. Since they are all numbered, it will be easy to keep them organized.
