These spirals are fun to make and a great way to welcome fall and practice sight words at the same time! Copy your spirals on green construction paper and your fall leaves (4 per student) on fall colored construction paper. Your students will begin cutting the spiral on the straight line, curving it around, strengthening those fine motor skills every step of the way! Once they have cut the spiral, cut out the leaves and then have them write sight words on the leaves. You could also write rhyming words, words that begin with a particular letter, nouns, verbs, adjectives. This is a fun activity that can be tailored to match what your students are learning!
