This is a set of 24 task cards for practicing pre-primer sight words. The words are mixed up and the students need to unscramble the words. For example, they will see "gib" on the card and they will need to figure out that the word is "big." Students can complete the task cards by playing Scoot or by working on them in a center. The set is differentiated. There are 4 recording sheets to choose from. Every child can use the same set of task cards, but the difficulty is adjusted by the recording sheet they use.
Each student starts at a different card. They find the number on the card and match it to the number on their recording sheet. They answer the question and write the answer on their sheet. When the teacher/leader says “Scoot” everyone moves on to the next spot and completes the next question in the matching spot on the sheet.
This works well for a review of the pre-primer word list.
