A Few Brief Steps Towards Literacy
Books about underwear are all the rage in the primary grades and young children find these stories very entertaining. Read your favourite underwear books to your class and then play word games using our underwear shapes. For example, in our class, the students like to lay the words upside down on the table and flip them over one by one. The words they read correctly they get to hang on the clothes line. The words that players are unable to quickly read go into the washing machine or tub, words they can’t identify at all go into one of the laundry baskets.
