Students will identify the mystery sight word by determining initial sounds of the clipart provided in each box. Once students figure out the sight word, they will have to write it 3x each, highlight or circle the word, and use it correctly in a sentence.

Classroom Ideas:

Teachers may want to print the colored worksheets and laminate them or place them in dry erase sheet protectors. This will allow students to pull them out at various times of the day and write directly on the worksheets. This will save much prep time in the long run, as you will be able to quickly check, give feedback, and erase the page.

It will also also allow teachers to differentiate instruction. Students will be able to revisit sight words that have not yet been mastered, as well as learn new sight words.
