With this activity, students are able to cut and paste their sight words onto a wreath that can be hung at home or in the classroom, further familiarizing them with their sight words. The words on the leaves are coordinated with the Common Core recommended second nine weeks sight words for the first grade. To create the wreath, students first cut out the two sides of the round wreath base. They can tape or glue the white tabs to connect the two half circles. The red ribbon can then be cut out and taped or glue to the top of the round wreath base. The holly leaves can be cut and glued or taped to the round wreath base.
