Daily practice of sight words or spelling words can often be wasted time without the proper techniques. In this activity, teachers can customize a spelling or high-frequency word list for each child. In this easily adaptable template,visual cues and words are given to remind students to practice writing the word using a visualization method. Students are instructed to look at the word, write it, cover the word and visualize it in their mind. After, students should think about the word to build visual memory and then bring it back up by writing and checking to see if it is correct.
