Sight Word Fun!
Learning sight words is an important part of a balanced approach to literacy development so I am always looking for ways to help my students review and practice their sight words.
This set of “ I have, who has?” cards has provided my students with a fun and engaging way to practice and review beginning sight words. Simply, print, laminate and cut out the cards and this activity is ready to go. My class loves this activity and I’m sure your will too. To play, one student reads the word on their card and the others check to see if they have the next card in the sequence. Play continues until all the cards have been read. This game is fun for a large group (whole class) or for smaller groups like your guided reading or literacy center groups. I use this activity as a fun when you are done activity as well.
These words are included in this game: in, and, the, see, go, can, my, to, down, find, is run, you , said, me, little, it, play, we, up, big, come, jump, not and make.
