You need to purchase one of my Sight Word bingo game bundles for this to be an effective activity. There are links to those products listed at the end of the product description.
This file contains the first three cards from each of the following products of mine: Sight Word Bingo words 1-24, Sight Word Bingo words 25-48, Sight Word Bingo words 49-72, and Sight Word Bingo words 73-96.
Students have different learning styles and you'll find this method of playing Bingo useful in meeting the needs of both auditory and visual learners.
Give each child a copy of one of the bingo sheets (sold separately) Display one of the bingo cards from this file on your SMART board. If your students are using the bingo cards for words 1-24, you'll want to show one of those cards. Call out the word from the top right corner and slide one of the virtual, transparent bingo chips onto the word. Children HEAR the spoken word and SEE it covered on the SMART board. Students find the word on their own copy on the printable bingo sheets. The children both see and hear the words as you play bingo which will cause learning to take place!
The teacher (or a student) touches a "Magic Circle" in random order. The circle will fade out revealing a sight word. Students cover the revealed word on their own bingo cards (not included).
