Sight words are an integral part of your students’ daily work. The 1,000 sight words inside this download make up over 50% of all text we read. Students must learn these words to be successful readers and learners throughout their educational career.
I suggest you provide each student with a binder ring to keep their sight words on. You can print the following pages in this PDF to help them keep track of the words they are working on and the words they already know. To help students easily find their place on their word rings, consider copying the “I can read these words!” on a piece of green colored paper. Copy the “I need to practice these words!” on yellow paper. (Any color variations will work, use what you have on hand!)
Each time a new sight word or list of words is introduced to the students, you can provide them with a new flash card to add to their ring. This way your students will always have words to review and learn at their fingertips.
Inside this zipped folder you will find separate PDFs for each letter of the alphabet (excluding x and z). Inside each PDF will be a table of contents for the words in the download. The table of contents is clickable to easily find the words you need, but also serves as a checklist for administering words to your students.
