This is a game I created to incorporate sight words in physical education. This game can also be used in the classroom or even at home. The fly swat game helps students to build speed in identifying sight words.
I have voice recorded each word, so an adult doesn't have to say them. The student has to find the word within 5 seconds and swat the fly with a fly swatter. The correct fly will "jiggle" then all the flies will fly off the screen and the new flies fly on.
There is a total of 45 kindergarten sight words and the program lasts about 6 minutes. To have the video continually play for the time allotted, in quick time, go to view and scroll to the bottom and select loop.
In my physical education class, I like to set an interval timer of 35 seconds. This gives the student about 6 tries before it is the next students turn.
