This is a game called KAPOW that gives students fun practice reading sight words.
To play, you need 3 or more players. After placing all of the cards into a bag or container, students take turns pulling a card and reading the word aloud. If it's read correctly, they keep the card. If not, it goes back in the bag. If a player pulls a KAPOW! card, he must pass all of his cards to the next player. Students keep playing until all cards have been pulled out and read. When the bag is empty, the player with the most cards is the winner.
The words used in this game are from the Dolch Primer list. Other versions are available in my store.
