This resources includes 52 sight word cards (28 pairs). Add these to your literacy groups as a small group activity.
How to play:
It is recommended that you split the deck into smaller bundles so students do not have to hold as many cards in their hands as the game goes on.
Students play in small groups. Each students receives 3 cards. Students take turns asking one of their group members if they have a particular sight word card- "do you have ...." If they do not have the card they say "go fish" and the students picks up a card from the deck. If they do have the card students put the pair together and have another go.
Place the cards in rows face down. Turn two cards over and read both sight words. If they are a match take them away, if they are not a match turn them back over.
