Card Game, “Go Hunting”, Pre-Primer Dolch Words, EASY PREP
Just print and cut down the lines with a paper-cutter!
No more “drill and kill”
for learning sight words! Playing this game is a super fun way to practice sight words and is so easy that any child who recognizes letters can play.
This is great to use as a small group
lesson and then is perfect to place as a center activity
to help the children practice reading, spelling and recognizing sight words!
Children also learn how to take turns and play cooperatively.
You can use all the cards at one time, or pull out the cards with the words you have already taught.
The game is played just as in the game “Go Fish”, where the 1st student asks if the other player has one of the words in their hand. The student says the word and then spells
it. The second player repeats the word and also spells it.
There are 37 words for you to pick and choose from including:
a, I, away, big, blue, can, com, you, it, the, to, and, in, said, for, go, we, little, down, see, not, one, my, me, run, find, three, red, where, jump, here, help, make, yellow, two, play, funny
