Word Wall Cards/Flash Cards-There are 3 different sets of flash cards in this product. One that is cutesy, one that is plain but has color on it, another that is printer friendly. Choose the one you like the best. Included in here is an awesome list of ideas with directions of how you can use these flash cards to make learning sight words fun!
Phonetically Decoded Words-I make my students look for special letters, such as two letter phonograms, blends, digraphs, etc. Then we underline them and put one dot underneath. Next, I have students put a dot under each letter that makes a sound. Then, we say each sound, next sing the sounds together, then last but not least, we say the word the fast way. My students really grew into great readers when they learned how to do this. Use this if you like!
Say It! Trace It! Write It! Read It!-You have two options for this activity. You can print it out and use it as handwriting and sight word practice. Or you can print it on cardstock, laminate it and add a skinny dry-erase marker to make it an instant center.
