Students can practise their first 12 sight words (Golden Magic Words) using toy cars and this parking lot. Can be played in a number of ways:
- Students park a different car in each parking lot and say the word as they drive over it.
- Students can work with an adult or in a small group and follow instructions "park your car in the 'and' space" etc.
- Students can answer questions about where their car is parked "Where did you park the red car?"
Good for oral language skill development as well.
I often make a 'road' out of masking tape leading to the parking lots and write more sight words on the road for them to read as they drive over.
Great for your kids who need to move as they learn :)
