This set comes with the following:
8 Sight Words: saw, find, have, face, over, from, come, should
4 Phonics: it, oo, og, ow
6 Fluency Sentences: I have one penny and two dimes. How much is that?, I have a dog and a cat. They are the best pets!, I should have got my umbrella. It is raining!, I saw a plane in the sky. It was way up high., I have two eyes on my face. They are brown., My dad went with us to the zoo. We saw a lot of animals.
Each set comes with a combination of sight words (8-12 word cards per set), 4 phonics cards, and 6 fluency sentence cards. I print each section on a different color of card stock and attach them to a ring with the set cover card.
I use one set a week to build sight word and phonics recognition and to build reading fluency with some of the corresponding words in text. I send these home to students for homework each week and my aide and I go over them in small groups each day. Students can play match with two sets, trace words with an expo marker if laminated, circle the vowels, circle the sight words in the sentence cards, time how fast they can read the cards, etc. The more exposure the better! ENJOY!
