Your students will love learning their sight words while working on their fine motor skills as well.
Copy the following words on cardstock. Give your child a pushpin and have them find a spot on the carpet to work. They will push the pin into the holes on the sight words on their paper. When they are done, they can hang their words in their windows at home. The sun will shine through the holes revealing the word that they made. Kids LOVE doing this activity and are quiet while doing it.
Possible times to do these:
Copy on red paper for Valentine’s Day and have this be a station for your Valentine’s Day party. Copy on green paper and use for a station on St. Patrick’s Day, etc.
Use during your guided reading work time.
Use during indoor recess.
