This packet is intended to help students spell all of the sight words on the Pre-Primer Dolch list. These activities can be used as independent work, homework, or literacy center work. Either way you use it, your students will enjoy and gain much more understanding and practice with spelling and recognizing their sight words.
Word of the Week Letter: This simple reminder can be sent home with the child so their parent will know which words they are working on for the week. The child can hang this on their refrigerator at home as a good reminder to study their words each night. There is a letter for girls and for boys.
Activity 1: Students will get practice writing each word and recognizing each word by completing the 3 simple activities on this sheet. (handwriting, color words, and color code)
Spelling Cards: Students will cut out each letter card and practice using them to spell each word. (the bottom of this page is used for the next activity.
Cut and Paste Spelling: Students will have a practice spelling test by cuttingout the letters at the bottom of the page. Call out the words in the order on the list given (the bottom of the Spelling Cards page).
Writing Sentences: Students will write each word in a complete sentence.
Sight Word Test: Students will take their test on this sheet. There is a test sheet for girls and one for boys.
