This is by far my favorite activity to do with my students. Not only are they as silent as a mouse, they are also working on fine motor skills AND are practicing their sight words. WIN, WIN!!!
First, copy whatever sight words you want them to practice on white paper. Then have them staple the white paper to a piece of green construction paper. Give the kids a push pin and tell them to place their paper on the floor. Poke holes through the dots in the paper. When done remove the white paper. Hang the construction paper in the window and let the light shine through. Your kids will love seeing their sight words.
