In this packet, students will have multiple opportunities to practice a set of three sight words each week. Students will not only practice reading and writing the sight words, but they will also have a chance to learn and understand the words in the context of complete sentences. These activities can be used in independent literacy centers, as a part of small group instruction, for morning work, homework, or during a whole-group activity.
Stamp It! - Students read, stamp, trace, and write the words for multi-sensory practice.
Read-Glue-Write-Draw - Students put the words in context by reading them in a complete sentence. Then, they unscramble the sentence, glue it, and copy it. To demonstrate comprehension, students will draw an illustration to match the sentence.
I can Read! - Students must find and color the sight words in the text. Then, they read the sentences three times to practice reading fluency.
*This product is ideal for use in Kindergarten or as intervention in grades 1-2.
