Vi* Can Read (*Visual Imagery) is a unique way to teach Sight Words. Sight Words cannot be sounded out phonetically and many students need a multi-modality strategy to remember these words. Visual imagery allows students to "think in pictures" and tap into their senses to develop lasting connections. With these cards, a familiar picture is imbedded on a Sight Word and each word is presented with a poem or simple phrase. With repetitive practice and visual exposure, students begin to see, recognize, and recall these associations. As the picture is removed, the vision is maintained and students can successfully READ the word!
This file contains 40 Sight Words with Picture cards.
