Sight word practice needs to be fun!
Here is a little winter game to get your kiddos to read their sight words while playing a game.
It's just like Go Fish!
Each player gets five cards. The remaining cards are put in the middle in a pile. If you are dealt a pair, or get a pair during game play, those cards are removed from your hand, and you put them aside. Moving clockwise, players take turns asking a specific player for a sight word card they have in their hand. If they have the sight word, they must give it to the player who asked for it. If they do not have it, they tell the player GO SNOWMAN! and the player who asked for the card has to draw a card from the pile.
