Want to make sightreading more interesting for your music students? Have them try figuring out what tunes these are!
Have students write out solfege and attempt to figure out how to sing four measures from five different tunes from the 1990's. My students' motivation is always heightened when they attempt to figure these out, and it creates a real-world connection between solfege and sightreading skills.
Take this one for free and try it. Leave me some feedback about how it goes - whether for the good or for the bad. I'd like to hear. If it goes well, search my store for more sightreading tunes including movie intro tunes, mid-2000's tunes, and more!
