The Sign Posts of Reading Template is an excellent way to help students remember the 6 different types of sign posts: Contrasts and Contradictions, Again and Again, Memory Moments, Tough Questions, Words of the Wiser, and Aha Moment. In addition to listing the definitions, the template lists discussion questions and reminders that students should think about as they write their own individual signposts/ reading responses.
