This delightful activity will have your students learning to read while having fun. My students loved it so much that they even chose to do it over again during their free choice time. With this activity you can make three different file folder games. All 15 words are made of open syllables with A in Spanish. For example, the picture of the frog states ra na. You cut the picture in half and students have to match the pictures. They read each syllable and then combine the syllables to form the word. A recording sheet is included. Everything is color coded to make it easier for young learners. Hope your students enjoy this activity as much as mine did.
**Updated 2/6/14 to include a reading sheet for students as well as a presentation to review syllables with A. Students read the syllables and put them together to form words.
*** Updated 1/31/16 to include a combining sílabas presentation with a white background to allow for less color used if printing. The presentation with the blue background is still available if using for presentation purposes.
