This is a mini workbook focusing on the reasons silent letters occur in so many English words. It includes general reasons (homonym, origin, word stress, "long" vowels and "hard" consonants), and seven guidelines for the silent 'e.' It includes 5 activities, a list of the most common silent letters and an answer sheet. The workbook has 7 workable pages, 2 covers and 2 pages for the answers.
The workbook was designed for my intermediate ESL learners as a spelling guide to silent letters. The cover has been saved in color and black and white.
